JNtyoc' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I eft:/_•) STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> E OF•M'�= <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 553 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF FOUR (4) FORD F350 AMBULANCES FROM THE CITY AND <br /> COUNTY OF HONOLULU EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu Emergency Services Department <br /> is donating two (2) 2012 Ford F350 ambulances, one (1) 2011 Ford F350 ambulance, <br /> and one (1) 2014 Ford F350 ambulance, with a total estimated value of$80,000, to <br /> the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized in the Hawaii Fire Department's <br /> reserve fleet of ambulances; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
