Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
. Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of three Anetik Pro Tech (UPF 30+
protection) shirts per Ocean Safety employee from Anetik, 1021 Calle Recodo, Suite B,
San Clemente, CA 92673. These Anetik Pro Tech shirts, valued-at approximately
$10,850, will be utilized by the Ocean Safety personnel to provide sun protection while
on duty. _

A. REQUEST:
We would like to request a resolution for the acceptance of three Anetik.Pro.Tech (UPF 30+protection) shirts
per Ocean Safety employee. The items being donated for each employee are: 1 short sleeve:T shirt, 1 Long
sleeve t-shirt,,and 1 hoody.
Please prepare a letter to report the donation from ANETIK.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Anetik is a well known outdoor enthusiast clothing line, this line of clothing is lightweight,.cool, and protective.
The ownwrs of Anetik clothing understand what our Ocean Safety personnel are exposed to in their line of
work and wanted to give back to our hardworking personnel.The have offered to donate a set for every
Ocean Safety employee to provide them-good protection while working in the.sun. The estimated value of
this entire donation is $10,850.00 not ioncluding tax or shipping.

RE: Resolution No. 555-24 • A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE
OF A DONATION OF ANETIK PROTECH SHIRTS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
