RESOLUTION NO. 555 24
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF ANETIK PROTECH SHIRTS TO THE COUNTY OF
HAWAI`I FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Anetik is donating three Anetik Pro Tech(UPF 30+protection) shirts
per Ocean Safety employee to the County of Hawaii Fire Department; and
WHEREAS,these Anetik Pro Tech shirts, valued at approximately $10,850, will be
utilized by the Ocean Safety personnel to provide sun protection while on duty; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to the Anetik, 1021 Calle Recodo, Suite B, San Clemente, CA 92673,
acknowledging this generous donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Fire Department,the Department of Finance, and the Office of Management.
