Free Fun Bicycle Ride in Two Parts
9:15 a. m. Meet at Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Center on
Maku'u, (between 16`" and 17a` Avenue).
9:30 a. m Ride One: Along Railroad Avenue to the berm marking
the H.P.P. and W.H. Shipman property boundary, and return to H.P.P.
Community Center - 6 miles
10:30 c~n~ Ride Two: From H.P.P. Community Center along
Railroad Patfiway to Hawaiian Beaches Return via Kahakai Blvd down
to Beach Road (Old Govx Road, rehirning on Maku'u, to H.P.P.
Community Center -11 miles
12: DO to 1:30 -Free chili, rice and sodas at the H.P.P. Community
Center courtesy of Puna Trails Council
Ride sponsored by PATH (People's Advocacy for Trails Hawaii) and
Puna Trails Council:
• Route and ride briefing -signed liability waiver required
• Parent or guardian signs for minors (under 18).
• No fee -bring water and snacks, free lunch for first 100 sign-ups
• Bicycle helmets required

Beach Road (Old Government Road), and the potential for use of these pathways for ~ , ,
transportation and recreation by non-motorized users, including pedestrians, bicyclisxs,
