Because of our property's resort zoning we had to pay more for our mortgage since it was located in a commercial zone unlike the illegal STVR Located in agricultural and resident zoning. We developed and made use of our land the way it was intended according to the county master plan. Why should we be penalized for doing everything right? The County of Hawaii should not be chasing us local business persons away by taxes us and our businesses to death. Instead the County should reward us for being diligent in purchasing our property in a resort zone, providing accommodations for visitors, and creating jobs for the local economy. Hotels, Inns, small B&Bs and Boutique Inns located in the resort zone should not have to pay anything more and should be left out of these proposed amendments and permitting process. Or if a permit is required there should be no charge for the business properties that have a legal right to operate in the resort zone. — Mahalo, 0 Miss Hill 6 ' IJI Comm. N . J, b Ref. To: Ref.
