Dear Councilors,
Please vote NO on Bill 121 in its present form. We need a rigorous and comprehensive economic analysis to understand
the impact to revenues (county, hotels/resorts, homeowners, investors, STVR workers), housing stock, real estate values,
and rental costs. So far, there has only been biased hearsay and anecdotal suppositions.
Hosted vacation rentals should be administered by Chapter 25 (Zoning
Code) HOME OCCUPATION, That is all that is needed. As written, Bill 121 is a blunt tool that curtails economic resilience.
