When we purchased our four -bedroom, five -bath home, I dreamed of creating a sanctuary where guests could experience the beauty and serenity of Hawaii. Over the years, our property has hosted numerous families and groups, allowing them to make unforgettable memories. Our home is designed to comfortably accommodate larger groups, with spacious rooms and ample amenities. However, the recent amendments to Bill 121 propose a strict maximum renter limit, which does not reflect the true capacity of our property. The original bill's provision for planning director discretion was essential in ensuring that each property could be evaluated on its unique merits. I urge the council to reinstate the provision for director authorization in Bill 121. This flexibility is crucial for properties like ours to continue offering a welcoming space for larger groups, maintaining the spirit of aloha that defines our island. Mahalo nui loa, r7 cs c C:?
