My wife & I permanently live on island and own our house with a one or two bedroom
Airbnb in south Captain Cook. Outside of just starting Social Security it is our main source
of income. Yet Best of all it's become a little global source of community that we get to
share with local friends/ businesses on a daily basis. If you read our reviews, guests
highlight all the amazing hidden local spots we recommend. Phyllis & I have always
shared the belief of supporting local business with equals keeping the money local!!!
We want our guests, the tourists money supporting these amazing local businesses.
Dolphin Discoveries
Shaka Tacoz
Black Rock Pizza
ChoiceMart
Kailua's Super J's
Malama Market
Honaunau Poke
Punalu'u Bake Shop
Ka Lae Coffee
Hawaii's Local Buzz
Ka Lae Garden Thai Food
Just to name a few....
Notice we don't promote WalMart, or Safeway or Costco.
We are doing our Best to keep Local Local.
Please pause Bill 121, and accept a new proposed resolution requesting the Department of
Research and Development to procure a comprehensive study on the economic and fiscal
impacts of the short-term rental industry in the county.
