Subject: please allow locals to rent to vacationers
It is absolutely unfair to take away the ability of islanders to rent to vacationers in affordable ways that
support locals and make the island thrive. Stop this nonsence, it will kill all the indusrties on the island if
they push this through. Look what the bans in Maui on air B&B and beach vending did. They killed off the
once thriving the Arts culture of maui by cutting off the life bread of many small buisineses that were held
together by vacation rentals and exciting beach life. In the end this hurts the big hotel chains as well,
because there could become dead towns, and very little cultural life for tourists to enjoy and spend
all their money to get there.
