Bills 121, 122, 123
As a regular visitor to the Hawaiian Islands, I urge you not to pass bills 121, 122 and 123. Please do not put an unfair
burden on the farmers, particularly the organic farmers who rely on and mentor agriculturally minded visitors to
participate in their well needed labor force. Certainly you cannot advocate putting the Organic Hawaiian resident
farmer out of business which would happen if you pass Bill 121.
I always stay at bed and breakfasts when visiting Hawaii and will certainly go elsewhere in the world if they are no longer
available in the islands as stipulated by Bill 122.
Also Bill 123 is a very bad idea. Ohana is a friendly word in the Hawaiian language that means trust and family closeness.
Accessory sounds to me like a crime has already been committed. You must be joking to take away so much from the
Hawaiian people. For what? Change the culture? Support big business interests? Such a shameful endeavorll What is
really at stake here? I suspect more exploitation and regulation to make life more difficult for the local people who seek
creative means to support themselves in this time of run away inflation.
Do you want to help save Hawaii tourism or do you want to pander to the whims of the uber rich who will rapidly make
life in Hawaii miserable and unaffordable for the local people.
