Subject: Oppose Bill 169, Kona Three LLC
Dear Hawai'i County Council.
I oppose Bill 169, Kona Three LLC for the following reasons:
*This project would have a negative impact on an area of Kona that i,s already severely
congested. I don't not live in the area but have to deal with traffic at the intersection of Lako
and Kuakini/Hwy 11. The area roads are not adequate for an additional development of this
size which would add hundreds of vehicles (if not thousands)to an already crowded
situation.
*This project is opposed by the Cultural Resources Commission, recommending that the
property be preserved in perpetuity. Let's listen to our host culture.
* I have concern for mauka to makai effects and the health of our ocean.
*Water availability, sewage system impact, and other infrastructure problems should be of
concern in this area.
* Council members that have been in favor of this Bill, I ask that you please reconsider your
vote and oppose this extension. Please support the Cultural Resource Commission's
recommendation.
Please listen to the Kona Community and oppose Bill 169, Kona Three LLC.
Much gratitude to those that oppose a 10 year extension of this project!
