Mahalo to those of you who sent this forward with a negative recommendation! Please stay the course. To those of you who voted to approve this extension, I respectfully urge you to please reconsider.Would you approve this project in your district? • The applicant would like you to believe this project is for workforce housing, but it is not. If it was, they wouldn't be including language allowing STVRs. • They want you to ignore the location of this project being in a floodplain, but it is. • They want you to think there is no archeological, historical, or species worthy of preservation here, but there is. • They want to ignore the need for infrastructure improvements prior to further impact on this moku, but the necessity is there. • The Cultural Resources Commission said this parcel should be preserved in perpetuity. The applicant doesn't want you to care what your experts said. • The applicant has tried multiple times to avoid actually building affordable housing-they aren't really a developer or builder. They just buy low and want to sell high. The Leeward Planning Commission didn't get a chance to forward a legitimate"no," because the applicant gamed the system. Please don't let them game you. Mahalo for your time and thoughtful attention to the facts of this application. janet Matlock Kailua Kona • Comm. . (I •1 L Ref. To: 1 Ref. Dote __,Vd L .I';O.262
