Aloha County Council,
I wish to oppose Bill 169 Draft 2.
This development has significant historical cultural resources needed to be preserved for our Keiki of the
next generation.
What was discovered by the archaeologist was appalling and the Cultural Commissioners who
physically took a visit on
the property agreed.They sent you an unfavorable recommendation.This property sits above Keakealani
Wahine of
our Surf Site Banyans. Please help to preserve this special piece of land.Also,the Endangered Species
Act Section 106
of the National Historic Preservation Act, and Section 4(f) of the 1966 Department of Transportation Act,
needs to be
addressed in order for the Kuakini Highway can be complete.Without the 4 lanes,the problem is the
capacity of the
Congestion.The alternative is NO BUILD. So, now we are living our lives daily with Lako Blockco, and
Kuakini Crawl.
The EA Draft by the County of 2013, If the 4 lanes
would not be completed by 2020,the alternative is NO BUILD.
Please just say No.Also pursue the 4 lane of the Kuakini Highway,which I found out its the State,
perhaps our
TAT tax that goes to the state 0.1025% every month paid to the State needs to stay here and pay for our
highway,
and Not the Honolulu Rail.
This project would also allow STV,while you are clamming down on Bill 121,122, 123,why open up for
more?
Also, as the Leeward Planning going fast forward with Bed and Breakfast on Ag lands which could not
have been approved
with the Bill back to SW before 2019, and farmland from being eligible for the permit if the home was not
built before 1976.
This is all CRAZY FILP FLOP, CROSS ONE,AND ADD ANOTHER,ALL THE SAME SHORT TERM NOT
PURSUING LONG
TERM. CRYING OUT LATER WE ARE BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

STOP THE DEVELOPER CREDITS, HAVE THEM BUILD ON THE PROJECT ITSELF NOT SOMEWHERE FALSE
OF
AFFORDABLE HOUSING. GO BACK LIKE IT WAS IN THE 70'S, BUT HAVE THE DEVELOPERS BUILD THE
ACTUAL
AFFORDABLE FIRST! NOT AFTER THE FACT WHEN THEY RUN OUT OF FUNDS, OR SELL TO ANOTHER
DEVELOPER
AND SHIFTS THE BLAME.
DO WHAT IS PONO FOR THE SAKE OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE,AND CALL HAWAI'I THEIR HOME!
AND DO WHAT IS PONO FOR THE NEXT GENERATION.
