My name is Ana Tuiasosopo. I am the District Representative and Trustee for Operating
Engineers Local 3.We are the largest Construction Trades Local in the United States. I and
the members of Operating Engineers Local 3 strongly support Bill 169.
We understand that that the time extension is needed and was recommended by the
Planning Department to "clean up" ordinance conditions and make needed changes to the
development plan. We would like to emphasize that rental and starter housing is sorely
needed around the state and most especially in Kona.This project has been in the planning
stage for years and needs to continue to move forward.
We therefore humbly ask for your support and approval of Bill 169.
