ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24-
280, SCHEDULE 28 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS
AMENDED), RELATING TO NO PARKING AT ANYTIME.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit parking alongside certain
sections of Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28, entitled
"No parking at anytime," subsection (g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition,
as amended), is amended by adding new listings to be appropriately inserted and to read as
follows:
"• Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road, southeast(makai) side, from a point three hundred
twenty feet southwest of Pohoiki Road and extending one hundred sixty-five feet in
the southwesterly direction.
• Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road, southeast (makai) side, from a point six hundred
ninety-three feet southwest of Pohoiki Road and extending two hundred forty-one
feet in the southwesterly direction."
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance,the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
