COUNTY OF HAWAI`I - � •' STATE OF HAWAI`I BILL NO. 167 ORDINANCE NO. 24 53 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24,ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24- 284, SCHEDULE 32 OF'THE HAWAI`I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS AMENDED),RELATING TO 2 HOUR PARKING AREAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to facilitate turnover of on-street parking spaces along a portion of Highway 240,between Kika Street and Ohelo Street, by imposing a two-hour parking limit between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, excluding Sundays and Holidays. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284, schedule 32, entitled"2 hour parking areas," subsection"(a) Hamakua," of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding new listings to be appropriately inserted and to read as follows: • HWY 240, the marked parking stalls between Kika Street and Ohelo Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, excluding Sundays and Holidays. SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
