COUNTY OF HAWAI`I - � •' STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> BILL NO. 167 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 24 53 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24,ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24- <br /> 284, SCHEDULE 32 OF'THE HAWAI`I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS <br /> AMENDED),RELATING TO 2 HOUR PARKING AREAS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to facilitate turnover of on-street parking <br /> spaces along a portion of Highway 240,between Kika Street and Ohelo Street, by imposing a <br /> two-hour parking limit between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, <br /> excluding Sundays and Holidays. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284, schedule 32, entitled"2 <br /> hour parking areas," subsection"(a) Hamakua," of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 <br /> Edition, as amended), is amended by adding new listings to be appropriately inserted and to read <br /> as follows: <br /> • HWY 240, the marked parking stalls between Kika Street and Ohelo Street, between the <br /> hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, excluding Sundays and <br /> Holidays. <br /> SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring <br /> need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,the invalidity does not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br /> application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable. <br />
