We currently have our second 20 year Forest Dedication. We have been thrilled that Ryan and Seth have spoken to us about preservation and nurturing of the Kaloko forest. We know Ryan to be a sincere hard working individual who has asked us several times about caring for this precious forest. We encourage you to pass this bill because we have seen the destruction of the forest when owners are not required to keep to forestry regulations. We know that Ryan and Seth will abide by the 80% preservation of the forest. We have been heartbroken when we have called the planning department and have told that certain parcels in Kaloko have NO regulations and therefore the owners have destroyed a huge percent of their parcel. Additionally they have bulldozed to the boundary of their neighbors not leaving any buffer. If this parcel is not protected by Bill 166 then it is vulnerable to be destroyed. The 80% forest preservation is imperative. Having been one of the earliest families up in Kaloko Mauka subdivision we are thrilled to have Ryan and Seth as neighbors who will be respectful and responsible for the forest. Mahalo for your consideration, Roger and Lydia Weiss 73-1950 Kaloko Drive coal-n. N , .3 Ref. Ref. Rafe JUL 2 4 2024
