Re: Resolution 556-24
Aloha, Chair Kimbal, Vice Chair Inaba, and all Council members.
Thank you for the opportunity to submit opinions regarding this proposed Resolution 556-24, 1 am
submitting testimony in support of Resolution 556-24 to authorize the Department of Research and
Development to procure a comprehensive study on the economic and fiscal impacts of the transient
accommodation rental industry in Hawai'I County.
The public has long been asking for such a study and with new regulations being proposed on transit
accommodations rentals the public and the many local residents who have these rentals deserve to
know what the real, actual impacts are.
I strongly support passing Resolution 556-24. 1 urge the Council members to hear your constituents and
acknowledge that there is overwhelming support for this measure.
