Subject: In Support of Resolution 561-24
Aloha Chair Holeka Inaba, Vice Chair Michelle Galimba, and members of the Legislative Approvals and
Acquisitions Committee,
am writing to express my strong support for Res. 561-24, which aims to acquire approximately 68.84
acres of land for the protection and preservation of cultural and natural resources. The resolution also
seeks to open certain areas of the property for education, gatherings, and cultural practices.
I kindly request your support in authorizing the finance director to enter into negotiations using PONC
funding to purchase the Royal Vistas I Kona Vistas acreage. This land holds significant cultural value and
should be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations.
