SUBJECT: Resolution No. 550-24, Draft 2; a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Enter into
Multi -Year Agreements with Hawaiian Telcom, Inc., Regarding Communication
Services for a New Emergency Communications Center in Hilo.
Attached please find Resolution No. 550-24, Draft 2. Resolution No. 550-24 was amended with
the contents of Communication No. 922.1 and duly approved by the Council on July 24, 2024,
The Council voted to suspend Rule No. 23-1(d) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of
the Council, which requires the holdover of a substantively amended resolution on final reading,
and adopted Resolution No. 550-24, as amended to Draft 2.
