Aloha County Council Members,
My name is Jean Jewell, and I strongly support Resolution 561-24. My
understanding is that Kona Three, LLC was not recommended for development
by credible organizations like the Leeward Planning Commission, our Cultural
Commission, Soil & Water Conservation, Natural Resource Conservation
Service, and local archeologists, and not in alignment with our Kona
Community Development Plan because it has great cultural significance., in a
major FEMA Flood Zone and Kona in this area especially has inadequate
infrastructure would not be able to accomodate. This PONC opportunity
provides a win -win solution for land that should never have been rezoned and
allowed for housing development. To be purchase -ready as an opportunity is
very important to our community.
