One of the most important issues cited is the cultural importance of the land, which has been thoroughly researched and documented. I am askina that vou honor the majority DOSition of our taXDavers and reserve this land by entering into negotiations with P.O.N.C. I would also like to point out that "Affordable Housing" is the single, consistent theme of every testimony in favor of this KV3 development. The fact of the matter is that none of these condos or homes will be "affordable" by any measurement or calculation, because they are located in a very prime ocean view area close to the center of Kona Town. (NOTE: Wheelock and his partners have a history of trading off their Housing Credits to avoid having to comply with government Affordable Housing requirements.) Given the lack of any other reasons proffered to approve this permit extension, AND the overwhelming majority of testimonies from Island residents opposing this development for a long, long list of actual facts, there is insufficient support to move this forward. P.S. PLEASE SAVE OUR FLOOD PLAIN Respectfully Submitted, Janice Kerr F, , 'c 'AUQ`,- 7.2024
