Hello County Councilmembers:
I live in Kailua-Kona and am writing to ask you to support Resolution 561-24. 1 believe the acquisition
of the Kona 3 land for open space would be of benefit to the county, the land, and our community.
This purchase would keep the land in community hands, would help mitigate possible flooding for the
communities above and below it, and would help replenish our aquifer, versus negatively impact our
coral reefs in runoff.
This acquisition would also preserve cultural resources and native animal habitat for future
generations.
