My name is Diane Ware and I strongly support Resolution 561-24.
Kona Three, LLC was not recommended for development by credibLe organizations and its community
because ithas great cultural significance inamajor FEMAFioodZonooneo.Konm'espeoioik/inthiaaraa'
has inadequate infrastructure and cannot accommodate their plans for 450 housing units. Furthermore
itiaInappropriate for Local Needs. What isneeded iOKona iSlow- and moderate -income
housing for local families /t2a[he[s,for eX8DUple\.The price point Ofthis project would exclude
this demographic. Rental Units are not appropriate for this established [O0U0OUDitv. The
proposed housing density iSinappropriate for this island. While required in earlier planning
affordable housing would likely never happen.
This PONC opportunity provides a win -win sotution for land that should never have been rezoned and
allowed for housing deveioprnontinthe 8Osand shouldn't be granted onextension after 4Dyears. Toba
