Grant Period (Commencement & Completion): 10/1/23 to 6/30/24
Goals: To provide victim assistance services to victims of misdemeanor and felony
crimes, including but not limited to, homicide, negligent homicide, robbery, assault, domestic violence,
child abuse, violation of protective orders, sexual assault, and property crimes.
Objectives: To service at least 2,000 victims and victim survivors by providing advocacy and
information throughout the criminal case.
Outcomes or Results: The Victim Assistance Unit provided services to a total of 6,350 victims, 887
witnesses, 172 secondary victims, and 532 other parties to cases involving approximately 21 different
types of victimizations. Services provided included but not limited to: advocacy within and outside the
