They are as follows: Concerning the Hale Halawai. The bid of $880,000. plus to make repairs seems totally outrageous. It would really be nice to keep the open pavilion. It seems to me that we should see several bids and that the bids should be made public. And the bids should be realistic. According to the West Hawaii Today article dated March 13th the following appeared. All single family residences in Hawaii County are assessed $7.239.16 per unit in impact fees. Money is normally broken dowm to pay for parks ($3490.80), police ($168.40) fire $332.61), solid waste ($14.62) and roads ($3,101.68). It appears that Kona is low on Park Facilities which is one concern I have. The other concern is that we have no Dog Friendly Parks. I and many others would like to see designated areas in Kona where dog owners can take their pets on leash for exercise, training and recreation. Other communities have learned [hat by identifying public places for pet owners to take their dogs, the number of dogs off leash in other parks and beaches is greatly reduced. This is good for both people and animals. Comm. No. •Gn2 ~,;le No._ BUD ;z . 1~: P/SD GG Hcf.
