SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 562-24, Draft 2; a Resolution Authorizing
the Mayor to Enter into a Multi -Year Agreement with Hawaii Island EV, LLC, to
Replace Hawaii County Shared -Use Electric Vehicles.
Please see the following proposed amendment to Resolution No. 562-24 Draft 2• The proposed
amendment is shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Resolution No.
562-24, Draft 2; in which material to be added is underscored.
The BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI clause to read
as follows:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAFI:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a ten (10) year agreement, with the
Hawaii Island EV, LLC for the purpose as described above.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
3. That Hawaii Island EV, LCC collaborate with the Department of Research and
Development to prepare a report identifying workforce development opportunities
and the resources needed to support electric vehicle maintenance within the County,
and present the report to the Council no later than eighteen months after execution of
the agreement•"
Due to the limited scope of the proposed amendment, a copy of the new draft of Resolution No,
562-24, Draft 2 that would result if this proposed amendment were adopted is not attached.
