RESOLUTION NO. 6O3 24
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2025 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT THE
NA'ALEHU COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation's 2025 Summer Fun Program at
the Nd`alehu Community Center, located at Na`alehu Park, provides arts-and-crafts activities and
recreation for elementary school students during the summer break; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed to assist low-income families in the Ka`u district to ensure
an affordable opportunity for children to participate in the 2025 Summer Fun Program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to offset the
out-of-pocket costs per child for registration fees, transportation, and other activities for its 2025
Summer Fun Program; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for its 2025 Summer Fun Program at the NA`alehu Community Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $4,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
