A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS OF ANIMAL CONTROL EQUIPMENT TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI ANIMAL CONTROL AND PROTECTION AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i Animal Control and Protection Agency has received various equipment, valued at approximately $144,595, from Bar-King Dog Kennel, Hawai‘i Island Humane
Society, and Hawai‘i Rainbow Rangers; and
WHEREAS, this equipment, as specified in Exhibit A, will be utilized island wide within the Animal Control and Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Animal Control and Protection Agency recommends approval of these donations from Bar-King Dog Kennel, Hawai‘i Island Humane Society, and Hawai‘i Rainbow Rangers; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Animal Control and Protection Agency, the Department of Finance and the Office of Management.
