Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 192, reports as follows:
Bill No. 192, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 981, dated
August 1, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants — Volunteer Fire Assist account ($17,800); and
appropriates the same to the Volunteer Fire Assistance — Federal account, for a total appropriation of
$317,800. Funds would be used for public safety supplies for Volunteer Fire Operations.
There was no discussion on the matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 192, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
