support for Bill 121 draft 2
Please accept our letter in support of Bill 121 draft 2. We believe that STVRs must remain in resort areas not residential
communities where local residents find themselves unable to locate long term rental units. For example the Kailua View
and Seaview Circle areas homes have large numbers of mainland owners who only rent short term. While profitable
they are driving up the cost of any rental unit or home sale. Our young couples are forced to drive from Kau or
Oceanview to work in Kona.
Neighbors of these STVR rentals live with constant transient visitors who do not act like residents. Always on vacation,
always up for a party their behavior isn't conducive to family neighborhoods.
