The money that we generate from our STIR has afforded our family the ability to own 2 cars, pay for dance lessons for our daughter, raise our grocery budget and eat healthier, save for her college education, and finally, after 20 years teaching, start tosave for retirement. Aside from paying exorbitant taxes, vva pay our cleaner and handyman 4 times what they would make @t8hotel. The only people that will benefit from these proposed regulations are the off island corporate ho1eUera.Atbest it's suspicious, utworst, corrupt and unconstitutional. Where is the shortfatt of tax money going to come from? Where are the tawyers fees for the upcoming litigation going to come from? Are the counsel. members that have fought for these regulations willing to denounce any future employment opportunities or campaign contributions from the hoteliers that these [egui8dUnSwilt benefit?
