SUBJECT: Transmitting Bill No. 144, Draft 2; An Ordinance Amending Chapter 4 and
Chapter 25 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended),
Relating to Apiaries and Beekeeping.
Transmitted herewith is Bill No. 144, Draft 2. During its meeting on August 21, 2024, the
Council amended Bill No. 144 with the contents of Communication No. 786.41, resulting in the
attached draft.
The Council then voted to pass Bill No. 144, as amended to Draft 2, on first reading.
