Aloha, My name is Cindy Freitas and I'm a Native Hawaiian descended of the native inhabitants of Hawai'i prior to 1778 and born and raised in. Hawai'i. I am also a practitioner who still practice the cultural traditional customary practices that was instill in me by my grandparents at a young age from mauka (MOUNTAIN TO SEA) to makai in many areas.for I OPPOSE Bill 169 Extension for the following reason: I want to address our representatives who wish to see this bill passed. I am urging you to listen to the recommendations by our residents, credible organizations, and professionals that this land is not fit for any development, period. Instead, open space preservation is recommended to restore a riparian forest in this natural FLOODPLAIN to protect our community below while addressing our major infrastructure concerns. Thes are the organization who is NOT RECOMMENDED TO BUILD CULTURAL COMMISSION (CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT) LOCAL ARCHEOLOGISTS KONA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN LEEWARD PLANNING COMMISSION KONA SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT OF PUBILC WORKS (FEMA DATA) MULTIPLE FAILED EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS INADEQUATE INFRASTRUCTURE OVER 1,000 TESTIMONIES IN OPPOSITION Kona Three is now an island -wide issue because County Council members, Jenn Kgiwada, Matt Kaneah'i-Kleinfelder, Ashley Keierkiewicz, Sue Lee Loy and Michelle Gallimba are ignoring, ALL Of our logical warnings from credible sources and are stuck on this "AFFORDABLE HOUSING".
