RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH SUSTAINABILITY PARTNERS SUBSIDIARY HAWAII ISLAND EV, LLC, TO REPLACE AND INSTALL ADDITIONAL ELECTRIC VEHICLE
CHARGING STATIONS
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development desires to enter into a multi-year agreement for ten (10) years with Sustainability Partners subsidiary Hawaii Island EV, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to replace inoperable and aging electric vehicle charging stations as well as install four (4) additional charging stations at the West Hawai‘i
Civic Center, the Aupuni Center and the County Building; and
WHEREAS, this agreement covers the cost of the equipment, design engineering, permitting, construction, installation, wireless control application, web-based data storage, maintenance,
and operations; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a ten (10) year agreement, with Sustainability Partners subsidiary Hawaii Island EV, LLC for the purpose as described above.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, the Finance Department, and Department of
Research and Development.
