COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 61G Z4 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOLUALOA VILLAGE <br />OHANA TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS 25TH ANNUAL COFFEE & ART <br />STROLL. <br />WHEREAS, H61ualoa Village Ohana is a 5 01 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was <br />created to protect, preserve, and share the history and heritage of H61ualoa Village, its coffee, <br />and traditions of art and culture; and <br />WHEREAS, H61ualoa Village Ohana hosts an annual celebration of Kona coffee and art <br />that is open to the public and features local coffee farms, local chefs, coffee-themed items, food <br />vendors, and free samplings; and <br />WHEREAS, the 25th Annual Coffee & Art Stroll will be held in H61ualoa Village on <br />November 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and <br />WHEREAS, H61ualoa Village Ohana is requesting funds to assist with expenses for <br />venue fees, special -duty officers, shuttle service, portable lua rental, printing, signage, and <br />banners; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports programs and activities that <br />promote education and well-being in a drug -free and alcohol -free environment, such as the 25th <br />Annual Coffee & Art Stroll; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br />Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br />identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, <br />equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Liquor Control to provide a grant to the H61ualoa Village Ohana to assist with expenses for the <br />25th Annual Coffee & Art Stroll. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
