A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A MULTIFUNCTION, COLOR PRINTER FOR THE OFFICE OF THE
COUNTY CLERK, SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article X, Section 10-11, of the County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year
or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a five-year lease for a multifunction, color printer for the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division; and
WHEREAS, the lease for the current multifunction, color printer is expired, and due to the high volume of print requests to Support Services, a new printer is needed to replace the old
one; and
WHEREAS, the estimated lease payment for a multifunction, color printer would be approximately $2,000 per month, which is less than the previous lease; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a multifunction, color printer for the Office
of the County Clerk, Support Services Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Mayor, Director of Finance, and County Clerk.
