COUNTY OF HAWAIJ STATE OF HAWAIJ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 624 24 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PAPA'ALOA ALL HALLOW'S EVE <br />COMMUNITY EVENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, provides a <br />diversified recreation program that addresses the needs and interests of the respective <br />communities in a safe environment at County recreational facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Recreation Division plans, conducts, arranges, or promotes organized <br />recreation, athletics, crafts, and other leisure time activities for all age groups at recreation <br />centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning a community All Hallow's Eve event at <br />Pdpa'aloa annex on October 30, 2024, which will include costume contests, candy, refreshments, <br />musical entertainment, trunk or treat line up, a mini haunted stroll, and other activities presented <br />in a safe and fun environment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is requesting funds to support the Pdpa'aloa All <br />Hallow's Eve event to cover costs for music, refreshments, decorations, candy, keiki activities, <br />and rental of two bounce houses; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District I will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation for its Pdpa'aloa All Hallow's Eve event. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
