A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PĀPA‘ALOA ALL HALLOW’S EVE COMMUNITY
EVENT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, provides a diversified recreation program that addresses the needs and interests of the respective communities in
a safe environment at County recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division plans, conducts, arranges, or promotes organized recreation, athletics, crafts, and other leisure time activities for all age groups at recreation centers
and facilities throughout the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning a community All Hallow’s Eve event at Pāpa‘aloa annex on October 30, 2024, which will include costume contests, candy, refreshments, musical
entertainment, trunk or treat line up, a mini haunted stroll, and other activities presented in a safe and fun environment; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is requesting funds to support the Pāpa‘aloa All Hallow’s Eve event to cover costs for music, refreshments, decorations, candy, keiki activities, and
rental of two bounce houses; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for its Pāpa‘aloa
All Hallow’s Eve event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
