Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 196, reports as follows:
Bill No. 196, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 993, dated
August 14, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This bill appropriates revenues in Federal Grants—Opioid Settlement Funds account ($925,000); and
appropriates the same to the Opioid Settlement Funds account to support opioid remediation activities.
There was no discussion on the matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 196, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
