The State of Hawaii and the County of Hawaii do not seem to understand the importance of caring for the bees of Hawaii
nor do they understand the importance of caring for the bee keepers of Hawaii.
|norder tnhave fruit, any fruit, the flowers must bepollinated! The importance offruit toHawaii and toHawaiians
cannot be overstated.
Bee populations, both endemic and commercially important bee populations, need and deserve active governmental
support. Pesticide usage and insect predators threaten not only bees but all of the insectsofHawaii. Without these
insects there cannot be flowers, fruit, or honey. The monetary importance of bees and bee keepers far exceeds the value
of the honey market.
A vote against the Bee Bill is a vote for fear and ignorance
