A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH RUNBECK ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE AGILIS SOFTWARE
FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK, ELECTIONS DIVISION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article X, Section 10-11, of the Hawai‘i County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a four-year agreement with Runbeck Election Services for the Agilis software for the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division;
and
WHEREAS, Runbeck Election Services is the exclusive provider for the Agilis software that runs the Agilis scanner-sorter hardware; and
WHEREAS, the Agilis software, license, and maintenance fee will be approximately $196,500 for the entire four years; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a four-year agreement with Runbeck Election Services for the Agilis software
for the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, Director of Finance, County Clerk, and Elections Program
Administrator.
