RESOLUTION NO. 635 24
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-
YEAR AGREEMENT WITH DIAGNOSTIC LABS SERVICES INC. FOR
BLOOD COLLECTION LABORATORY SERVICES
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later
fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department desires to enter into a multi -year agreement for
three (3) years with Diagnostic Labs Services Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is for Diagnostic Labs Services Inc. to
provide blood collection laboratory services for the Hawaii Fire Department to be
compliant with their Bloodborne Pathogen / Infectious Disease Exposure Guidelines;
and
WHEREAS, this multi -year agreement will afford a thirty percent discount for the
necessary blood draw tests; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year agreement,
with Diagnostic Labs Services Inc. for the purpose as described above.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, the Finance Department,
and the Fire Department.
