JMt'4 or IdJ, f COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII OF •N�'V RESOLUTION NO. 650 24 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF HAWAI`I YMCA FOR ITS EAST HAWAI`I FAMILY VISITATION CENTER PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Island of Hawaii YMCA (YMCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strengthens communities through holistic programming focused on health and well-being, youth development, community -based solutions, and inspiring others to serve through volunteering and advocacy; and WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program in East Hawaii provides children who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, custody disputes, or other familial disruptions, a safe space to spend time with their family members in a safe, secure, and supervised environment; and WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program is requesting funds to ensure that properly trained staff are present to monitor these supervised visits; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family violence prevention and intervention initiatives by identifying areas of need and working collaboratively with other criminal justice agencies and community programs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that Contingency Relief finds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawaii YMCA to assist with expenses related to its East Hawaii Family Visitation Center Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
