JMt'4 or <br />IdJ, f <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />OF •N�'V <br />RESOLUTION NO. 650 24 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF <br />HAWAI`I YMCA FOR ITS EAST HAWAI`I FAMILY VISITATION CENTER <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Island of Hawaii YMCA (YMCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization that strengthens communities through holistic programming focused on health and <br />well-being, youth development, community -based solutions, and inspiring others to serve <br />through volunteering and advocacy; and <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program in East Hawaii provides <br />children who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, custody disputes, or other <br />familial disruptions, a safe space to spend time with their family members in a safe, secure, and <br />supervised environment; and <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program is requesting funds to ensure <br />that properly trained staff are present to monitor these supervised visits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family <br />violence prevention and intervention initiatives by identifying areas of need and working <br />collaboratively with other criminal justice agencies and community programs; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief finds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br />Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawaii YMCA to assist with expenses <br />related to its East Hawaii Family Visitation Center Program. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
