JN�-4 OF.14 <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAFI <br />; 0 <br />;F <br />RESOLUTION No. 656 24 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A SCORE BOARD WITH INSTALLATION TO THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAVI DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, West Side Hawaii Little League is donating a manual score board, <br />inclusive of installation, to the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $11,000, will be installed at the <br />William Charles Lunalilo Playground in Kailua Kona; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I,, in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to West Side Hawaii Little League, PO Box 955, Kailua Kona, HI 96740, <br />acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
