Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Resolution No. 610-24,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 610-24, introduced by Council Member Cindy Evans via Communication
No. 1016, dated August 27, 2024,requests the Director of Information Technology and the
County Clerk to improve the functionality of the County website to promote public access to the
legislative process.
This resolution seeks improvements to better enable the public to view and track legislation and
more relevant information.
Member Evans introduced and explained the provisions contained within the resolution.
Hawai`i County Director of Information Technology Robert Ewbank was present in the Kona
Chambers to provide comment on and answer questions about the resolution.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Resolution No. 610-24, and recommends its adoption.
