Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 615-24, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 615-24, transmitted by Director of Finance Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 1021, dated August 28, 2024, changes time element of two half-time Fire Communications
Officer II positions to full-time.
This resolution requests adjustments to full-time with the intent to reallocate the positions to provide
the Hawai`i County Fire Department with additional clerical support.
Battalion Chief Stacy Domingo from Dispatch at the Fire Department provided an overview of the
measure.
Committee Member Ashley Kierkiewicz voiced support for the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 615-24, and
recommends its adoption.
