No. 611-24 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution <br /> No. 611-24, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 611-24, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa, via Communication <br /> No. 1017, dated August 28, 2024, authorizes the Director of Finance to negotiate a sixty-five year <br /> lease with the Housing and Land Enterprise of Hawai`i County, dba: Hale 0 Hawai`i for the <br /> purpose of development and construction of a below market rate single-family home on Tax Map <br /> Key: 2-4-051:094 for a community land trust program at a set lease amount of$10.00 per year. <br /> Allows for Hale 0 Hawai`i to finance, construct, and sell a below market rate home on state lands, <br /> subject to affordability restrictions, to an eligible purchaser for affordable housing and shelter <br /> purposes. <br /> Assistant Housing Administrator Harry Yada and Hale 0 Hawai`i Executive Director <br /> Loretta Wickenden were present.
