HomeMy WebLinkAboutBIL 217 Draft 01 2022-2024AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 6-12, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PROHIBITED HIGHWAYS FOR COMMERCIAL BICYCLE TOURS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6, article 2, section 6-12, of the Hawai‘i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding new listings in subsection (e) to be appropriately inserted
and to read as follows:
“ • Kohala Mountain Road, from the junction with Route 250 and Route 19, to the intersection of Route 250 and Hāwī Road.
• Akoni Pule Highway, from the twenty-five mile marker to its terminus at Pololū Valley Lookout.”
SECTION 2. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions
or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
