COUNTY OF HAWAII

Dear Ms. Goldstein:
Subject: KUAKINI VILLAS -Annual Report Requirement
Ordinance No. 94-110, TMK: 7-5-18: 28
Pursuant to the subject ordinance, as amended, the annual report of this project was
due on or before September 23, 1999. Unfortunately, this matter was completely overlooked
by all parties, and we apologize for this belated submittal.
There has not been any major activity relating to the subject site. The landowner is
actively looking for a developer to work with or independent of him. To date, he has not
been successful. However, he believes that with the changing economic conditions on the
island, the opportunity for this project to move forward within the next year looks good.
Should that occur, please be assured that all pertinent conditions of approval and related
codes and ordinances will be adhered to by either the landowner or his successors in interest.
As an aside, the landowner requested an appeal of his tax assessment last year. The
Tax Board of Review approved the request on October 14, 1998.
Again, our apologies for this delinquent submittal and appreciation of your
understanding on this matter. Should you have any questions on this matter, please feel free
to contact me. Thank you very much.
